The project entitled Archeologia żywa jako unikatowy produkt turystyki kulturowej Karpat (Archaeology enlivened as a unique product of the cultural tourism of the Carpathians) was carried out in the Carpathian Troy Archaeological Open-Air Museum as a part of the Interreg Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Poland-Slovakia 2014-2020 between 1.02.2017 – 31.12.2018. The project included the reconstruction of a section of the alternating-layer earthwork from the 8th century, building of the breeding area (comprising of two barns and a shed for animals) building of washing facilities for the reconstructors, a shelter for educational workshops, and hardening of the parking area for the festival guests. An important part of the project was building a new tourist route in Poland and Slovakia leading through the most important archaeological sites and historic places with local monuments of the region. A mobile app was prepared as well to compliment the route. The whole value of the project was € 1,411,303.85.
