SIGHTSEEING REGULATIONS
1. ORGANISATION OF SIGHTSEEING
1. Sightseeing of the Archaeological Open-Air Museum is only possible within its opening hours after presenting a valid ticket.
2. Purchasing of the ticket indicates the acceptance of the Sightseeing Regulations.
3. Purchased tickets should be saved for inspection during the sightseeing.
4. Discounted-rate tickets may be purchased upon presenting the valid document confirming the eligibility for a discount.
5. Please be mindful when purchasing the tickets as they are non-refundable.
6. A valid ticket must be kept on the person, or held by the group supervisor throughout the whole sightseeing tour. There is no replacement ticked issued in case of a lost ticket and a new ticket has to be purchased instead.
7. Tickets are non-transferable to another person after the start of the tour.
8. Individual ticket prices are determined for the wider audience during open-air events.
9. Payments for tickets must be made in advance.
10. Sightseeing takes place individually or in groups.
11. Group sightseeing takes place with a tour guide only.
12. Groups sightseeing should be booked in advance via phone, email, or the online booking system available on the open-air museum website.
13. The maximum number of participants in group sightseeing is 30.
14. Pre-booked groups, which have made their reservation via phone, email or online, have the priority of entrance to the open-air museum.
15. The priority of entrance is forfeited in case of the group is not present 15 minutes before the booked time of sightseeing.
16. After the purchase of the tickets, the visitors should gather in a designated place /in front of the exhibition hall/ at the pre-booked time.
17. Groups are admitted to the exhibition hall every 30 minutes.
18. The order of admittance is at the tour guide’s discretion.
2. SIGHTSEEING OF THE OPEN-AIR MUSEUM
1. Visitors are obliged to adhere to the requests of the open-air museum staff during the sightseeing tour.
2. In case of the lack of a tour guide speaking a specific language of the group, the group supervisor is obliged to inform the visitors about the Regulations of behaviour pointed out in the Sightseeing Regulations.
3. The last sightseeing tour commences 2 hours before the closing time of the open-air museum. All visitors are bound to leave the open-air museum before the closing time.
4. School groups ought to have supervisors responsible for the safety and behaviour of the pupils.
5. Any medical emergencies ought to be reported to the open-air museum staff.
6. Due to the presence of farm animals, dogs are allowed on the premises only after acquiring permission from the Head of the open-air museum.
7. It is forbidden on the premises to:
- use bicycles, scooters or skateboards
- play loud music
- smoke or use open fire in any shape or form (unless authorised by the Head of the open-air museum, e.g. during open-air events)
- drink alcohol or use other intoxicating substances,
- litter
8. In case of having a bonfire next to the cottage or fire in the furnaces inside, supervised by an authorised person, health and safety regulations must be adhered to at any time.
9. Children under 12 years old ought to be present on the premises only under the supervision of parents or guardians.
10. Parents or guardians are legally responsible for all the visitors underage.
11. In case of unforeseen circumstances (e.g. fire), the visitors are obligated to remain calm and adhere to the open-air museum staff at all times.
3. PROTECTION OF NATURE AND HISTORIC-OBJECTS
1. Within the area of the open-air museum, visitors obligated are to use labelled, designated paths only.
2. Digging of any kind, scaring wildlife, or damaging the vegetation is strictly forbidden within the premises.
3. Access to the open-air museum is forbidden for individuals who:
- are under the influence of alcohol or otherwise intoxicated
- not adhering to the norms of behaviour in a public place,
- are a threat to the safety of other visitors, the staff, the wildlife or the historic buildings
- not adhering to the Sightseeing Regulations
4. SIGHTSEEING OF THE VIEWING TOWER
1. The viewing tower is an integral part of the Carpathian Troy Archaeological Open-Air Museum.
2. The maximum number of people allowed on the tower platform at any given time is 40.
3. The Viewing Tower shall not be available for sightseeing in the event of unfavourable weather circumstances or due to other unforeseen occurrences hindering the safety of the visitors.
4. It is not recommended to enter the viewing tower for individuals with fear of heights, heart conditions, mobility disabilities or other conditions, that may result in worsening of their state or can cause an accident.
5. Groups are required to have one guardian per 10 participants, who is responsible for the group in case of any damage resulting from their misbehaviour.
6. The visitors are required to obey the staff and their instructions unconditionally. Individuals not adhering to the Sightseeing Regulations or not obeying the instructions of the staff will be asked to leave the Viewing Tower immediately.
7. Museum will not be liable in any shape or form for the corporal damage or any material loss resulting from failure to adhere to the Sightseeing Regulations.
8. Access to the Viewing Tower will not be granted to individuals, despite having a valid ticket, who:
- are under the influence of alcohol or otherwise intoxicated
- not adhering to the norms of behaviour in a public place,
- are a threat to the safety of other visitors, the staff, the wildlife or the historic buildings
9. It is forbidden to:
- carry into the premises the items universally recognised as dangerous
- any luggage hindering the way of passage due to its size
- throw items off the viewing platforms
- climb the construction elements or the security features of the viewing platforms
- damage the construction elements
10. The Viewing Tower is under constant CCTV surveillance, including image recording. Any attempts to violate the Sightseeing Regulations will be acted upon, and the individual will be asked to leave the Viewing Tower immediately. In more serious cases, the open-air museum staff reserve the right to call in the police. In the event of any material damage, the open-air museum will make the responsible individual financially liable for the loss.
5. SIGHTSEEING OF THE BREEDING AREA
1. Entrance to the Breeding Area is only possible in the presence of open-air museum staff.
2. Groups are required to have one guardian per 10 participants, who is responsible for the group in case of any damage resulting from their misbehaviour.
3. During the sightseeing tour, the visitors are required to adhere to the requests of the Staff.
4. It is forbidden to:
- feed animals
- walk in with dogs,
- scaring or hindering animals
- approaching the electrical fence
6. FINAL PROVISIONS
1. The Carpathian Troy Archaeological Open-Air Museum in Trznicica is a branch of the Subcarpathian Museum in Krosno. Any departures from the Sightseeing Regulations are feasible only with the approval of the Director of the Subcarpathian Museum in Krosno.
2. Any visit to the open-air museum is tantamount to absolute acceptance of the Sightseeing Regulations.
3. Any form of trading, using drones, balloons, kites, commercial photography, video-making, or any other advertising activity is feasible only with the approval of the Director of the Subcarpathian Museum in Krosno.
4. In case of a breach of regulations listed above, the sightseeing tour may be stopped immediately without a refund.
5. Serious breach of the Sightseeing Regulations (particularly damage to the historic building, facilities or equipment) may result in the intervention of the Police and subsequent criminal proceedings against the suspected individual.
6. Failure to adhere to the Sightseeing Regulations, especially the use of fire, or property damage may result in a fine of 10 000 PLN.
7. The Subcarpathian Museum in Krosno reserves the right to change the opening hours. The pre-booked visitors will be informed via the open-air museum website www.karpackatroja.pl and the information board in the open-air museum. In exceptional cases, with prior arrangements made, it is possible to be granted access to the open-air museum outside the opening hours. In this case, all the sightseeing rates are increased by 100%.
8. The open-air museum is not responsible for any items lost by the visitors.
9. The complaints and requests book is available at the Head of the open-air museum’s office.
